Hello all. I am going to get a Brute air compressor running again. Specifications are as follows:
-10 Gallon
-125 psi
-2.5 HP
It is electric, and I am trying to figure out what oil the pump uses. I do not have the manual, and it isn't printed on the compressor itself. I was thinking ND30. Thanks in advance.

Ah. I've never looked into the translations. So, if 100 is a 40, can you use ND40, or would I be better off using an oil labeled as an ISO rated compressor oil? Is there really much of a difference? The only experience I have with compressors is one oil change on the shop's compressor, and at that time I used ISO compressor oil.

I would stay with a ISO 100 alot of mfg will say ISO 100 30/40
Royal purple Synfilm is what i have in the sump listed ISO 100 vis specs are way closer to a 30 and not a 40
