Well, I wasted no time applying the savings on my DIY water heater job, to pick up another gun. Palmetto State Armory just got in some really nice Browning Hi-Power clones. These are produced by Inglis in Turkey.

I just picked it up yesterday afternoon from my FFL. It is an unbelievably beautiful pistol. Especially for the price. The color case hardening is absolutely stunning! A field strip showed very nice internal machining, with almost unnoticeable tool marks.

I've heard that it is not a "true" color case hardening. But rather a type of chemical process. Others claim it is a genuine color case finish. Whatever it is, it sure makes for a absolutely gorgeous handgun. I also have a Charles Daly 1911 that has the color case hardened frame, with the laser engraved slide. That pistol is made in Italy.

It is also a very nice looking handgun. This is my fourth Hi-Power. There are some very nice firearms coming out of Turkey these days, that's for sure.

Below I listed the link, if anyone is interested. (They still have them in stock as I type this). They come with 2, 15 round gloss blue magazines that are stamped, "Made In Italy", that look identical to Mec-Gar magazines. Sorry about the crappy, dark phone pic.

This thing made all my aches and pains from my water heater job, disappear faster than Tylenol with Codeine!

Yes, Turkey has stepped up the game in quality firearms in the past few years.

But, I am having a question. If you get a nice firearm for a DIY water heater install, then what do I get for a water heater AND a water softener install ??? (just last week).

P.S. That's a nice pistol.

Using my current Plumbing / Firearm Work vs. Reward Conversion Tables, I'm going with at least 1 handgun of your choice, and possibly a new AR...... And this includes taking into consideration, "The 3 P's".

Price
Price
and Price

1). A price you can afford

2). A price that will never increase

3). And a price that fits your budget.

And also the most important...... A price that the little woman won't scream about everytime you pull them out of the safe! (y) (y)

Getting into a bit of thread drift here,..... BUT, you saved yourself a bundle. There are people out there who end up paying a fortune for jobs like these.

I purchased a Browning Hi-Power, brand new, 1977 production, in 1978. I still have it. Paid $299 at the time, which I thought was expensive.
I know what you mean. I save all the receipts from my gun purchases. And it's unbelievable how much they have gone up over the years.... But so has everything else.

Nice Piece
I have a Girsan MCP35 (high power clone) and am impressed with it. In fact the last 3 pistols I have purchased have been turkish. SAR 2000, and a SAR K12 Sport.

I bought a Turkish made BRG9 a couple years ago. $189.00 plus FFL and it’s been stone cold reliable! Classic Firearms has them on sale now for$229.00.

2000 for a gas heater replacement and to delete the softener and repipe accordingly.......is too low. I would be about 4k, in copper.

The video eludes to only a heater replacement for 6k=robbery.

@walterjay ?

Beautiful! The Hi-Power is a classic!

I agree there are several good value, high quality Turkish made firearms out there. I have a Turkish made Winchester SXP (basically a 1300 clone) and it’s a great shotgun. The action is smooth and really fast. I picked it up for less than $200 over a decade ago and it has been stone cold reliable. No complaints.
