I went up at about 2:30 pm to bring my new baby home. After dropping in a different battery, getting the heater to work and letting some air out of the front tires, I was ready to roll. It rides pretty smoothly, and it's fairly quiet inside except for an exhaust leak. Left rear window, dash lights, and the cd player don't seem to work, maybe it's a blow fuse or something for the dash lights, I can live with one dead window. Not a whole lot of pickup around 2000 rpm's, but drop down a gear and it's a lot more lively. Car doesn't shake or shudder at highway speeds, so I guess my frontend parts are good. Brakes seem a bit weak, seeing as how it was sitting more or less unused for a year I bet there's some stuck hardware. The Altima runs nice on the highway, drop to 4th and there's decent passing power. I managed to get in a bit of a race on the way home, I pulled out to pass some moron in a Dodge Dakota, but he figures he's not gonna let me pass so he sped up to 80 mph, keep in mind when I started to pass him he was doing about 60 mph. This took place going up a hill, mind you, and I didn't seem to be gaining on him quickly enough in 5th, so I dropped to 4th and hammered it. I wound up doing a little over 100 mph by the time I got to the end of the uphill passing lane, I showed that jerk. I got home and noticed it seemed like it was missing on one cylinder, ahh **** I hope the motor's not worn out. I'll yank the plugs out tomorrow and check 'em, hopefully the engine miss will be something simple.
