Bridgestone appears to be replacing the Weatherpeak with a new all-weather tire; the Ultraweather. I'm sure the recent release from Continental probably pushed Bridgestone to finally reveal their new all-weather tire. The Weatherpeak has been on the market for nearly four years.

The new Ultraweather retains a symmetrical tread pattern that allows for normal rotation. It boasts a 60k mile warranty in comparison to the Weatherpeak's 70k mile warranty. Below shows overall tire.

Below, Ultraweather tread is on the left and Weatherpeak on the right. Siphoning and overall tread pattern is a bit different.

I put the Weatherpeaks on my '19 Camry Hybrid due to a discount I'm able to receive and have found them to be decent. A lot of the Firestone/Bridgestone tires I have had in the past have dry rotted very quickly and tend to only last 3-4 years and 40-50k miles. The Weatherpeaks have been on for ~68k miles on the Camry and I expect to replace them come summer. They saved my life, or at least saved me from serious injury, once during a snow storm when I was run off the interstate by a semi and nearly went into a creek, so I'd say the performed exceptionally. I even tend to choose driving my Camry in snow/ice in comparison to driving the '23 Blazer w/ Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3s. I have much more confidence, which is everything to me. I'm torn between these and the Continental SecureContact AW for my next tire.

Ultraweather by Bridgestone vs secure contact AW? Tough call, both are excellent manufacturers. Conti may have a softer sidewall feel than the Bridgestones, and the Bridgestones might maintain uniformity and tracking better in old age. I’ve enjoyed both brands for certain, probably with slightly more predictable behavior from the Bridgestones when they get old, and markedly better wet traction with the continentals, late in life.

Is it me or do the new Bridgestone Ultraweather look like a copy of the Vredestein Quatrac Pro+? They also look to have a less aggressive pattern compared to the Weatherpeaks. I'm intrigued to see the data when Tirerack does the testing. The tread pattern is also much milder than the European Turanza All Season 6. I suspect they will not be as good as the Weatherpeaks and personally I would prefer the Continental SecureContact AW for a comfortable all weather tire in the US. I'm also curious when the CrossClimate 3 will make it across the pond...The 2's have been so successful that there is no rush

I am really glad to see so much emphasis on all weather tires. I have been switching to winter tires for close to 40 years now. Two winters ago I ran the CC2's on my 23 Lexus GX. They did great! Not as much winter traction as the Blizzaks I ran last winter, but when the canyon roads were not snow covered, the cornering was so much crisper than the softer Blizzaks.
I installed the CC2's on my elderly in-laws Rav4 a few winter ago and there are no issues with the RAV getting around in the winter. My massage therapist was getting stuck in her FWD Chevy Trax, I recommend to her the CC2's. She's had them for two winters and gets around just fine on her 60+mile commute.
