Bridgestone Ecopia HL 422 Plus-noisy!

They are horrible tires. They were OE tires on our 2019 Tiguan. The dry traction was bad. Driving in the rain was dangerous. I was so glad when they were gone.
Word of Caution: OE tires - the ones that come on new cars from the assembly plant - are built to the car manufacturer's specs and as such none of them are the same - even if they have the same exact name. The tire that came on the Escape is different than the tire that came on the Mazda 3.
So, the tires that came on our Tiguan was different from the tires on the Escape and Mazda 3? The sizes were different, that's for sure. They are low rolling resistant tires (green). LRR tires generally sacrifice other qualities in order to achieve a slight increase in fuel mileage. The Michelin Energy is another tire that falls short in overall performance. I'm sure that there are other LRR tires that give similar performance results.
By the way, the OE Michelin LTX M/S2 on my F-150 have been stellar. 52,000 miles and 6/32" tread still left.

Factory tires are often junk but I still read way too much negative feedback about even Bridgestone replacements. For a tier 1 tire company, they seem to have a lot of misses in recent years.

I haven’t even given them a thought since like 2006 when I had BFGs on my truck and got rid of the truck. Nothing in their lineup is that good except maybe the new KO3. But even then, meh.

OE tire on the Dodge Durango, replaced them around 64,000 miles. Wear was even due to monthly pressure checks and 5-6k rotations. They are designed to be fuel efficient that’s about it.
They were replaced with a Michelin’s that are still in good shape with 85k on them currently but will need replacing in the fall/winter time frame.

I wouldn’t trust those on anything beyond a Prius(despite the fact Bridgestone did target it with the Ecopia EP100/200/422 as OE) - and even so. We had them as OE on the RXh - they rode quiet and that’s about it. A friend had them on her Subaru as OE, I told her you have similar tires as a Prius meant to help with fuel economy, drive with care.
I bought a new set some years ago and had no issues with them. Of course, they weren’t oem. I remember they were quiet and no vibrations but once they hit 6-7 32nds they wore fast. I’ve got turanzas on my 21 Altima and have been a great tire. I wasn’t looking for Bridgestone as much as I was looking to replace the god awful “made in Korea” Hankooks that came on my car new. I literally just ordered a new set of Continental pro contacts to replace cross climate 2s that have vibrated at 80mph since new. I’ve balanced and balanced some more and can’t get rid of the wobble. When I switch wheels to lx 25s the vibration is gone. It’s not the rims, they’re in perfect shape. The vibration showed up when I went from primacy’s to cross climates. 16 month old tires with a ton of tread left. Everyone gets a bad tire I guess. My wife’s new car came with a set that were so noisy the dealership replaced both front wheel bearings @ 500 miles because they argued it was the tires. A trip to Belle tire and pure contacts later and the car was dead silent.
