Hello everyone. I recently just joined and have tried my best to comb through some of the already existing forums but there are just too many and I don't have enough hours in the day. Learning a lot as well but I just want to get straight to the point and hopefully you knowledgable folks can help. I'm going to do my first break in oil change on my 2025 Toyota Tundra at 750 miles. Trying to do preventative care and hope the engine doesn't blow up on me down the road lol. What oil and oil filter should I get? Planning on doing the next change around 1500-2000 miles. I've heard mixed opinions and even things like certain manufacturers have gone down in build quality recently on their oil filters that a lot of people used to like and use so it seems the more I research, the more I become unsure. Thanks for reading this long post and beating this dead horse.

At least here, filters from the Toyota dealer are one of the cheapest options anyway.

If they didn't fix the issues on the earlier V35A, I would make sure to do everything you can to keep that warranty. Meticulous receipts at minimum, with oil that doesn't deviate from OEM spec.

Seriously? Five oil changes by 5,000 miles? If you want to go crazy, change the oil at 1,000 miles with a full synthetic and use an OEM filter. After that, change at every 5,000 miles with a full synthetic and use whatever filter you want. I have been doing that for twenty years and 342,000 miles and the engine still runs great with minimal oil usage.

Edit: I use Mobil 1 in all of my cars.
