Hey in case my runout is still out of spec after knocking 5 pounds of rust off my hub what kind of shims and where can I get shims to reduce the runout for my brake rotor? 2014 ford flex if it matters?

Have you cleaned the hub perfectly clean? The smallest amount of rust or debris can cause runout. Try the rotor in different positions on the hub and rechecking first. Make sure to tighten the rotor to the hub with more than one lug, use all of them and tighten them in an X pattern.
Before using a shim check the hub runout alone, if it is good the runout is with the rotor and given the price of shims it may be best to just exchange the rotor especially if it is a budget one.

Napa used to carry shims but not many today, Summit has them but the price is high ($15-20 each). When you find a spot the rotor is true mark that stud and the rotor with a yellow paint marker so you know where it is if you ever need to remove it.

Maybe it is because we don't believe in rust here, but I have never heard of using a shim on a rotor to correct runout. Like Trav said, make sure the hub is clean and there is no runout specific to the hub. Then check the rotor on the hub.
