If the inboard and outboard disc brake pads are identical in shape except for the the wear indicator (cricket chirp maker), does it matter if the indicator is mounted on the inboard or outboard side? Top or bottom?
IE, if you mount them both on the outside (passenger and driver side), then one wear indicator will be on the outside bottom while the other will be on the outside top. Does this matter?
Is there any ryhme or reason to their positions.
