Brake Caliper Piston Wind Up Tool

I use this and a 1/2" ratchet (with adapter for 3/8" drive).

Doesn't hurt my hand.
I bought one of those to use on my wife’s Corolla. I couldn’t push hard enough to make the piston retract, even after I opened the bleeder. I pushed so hard there was an impression of the ratchet head on my palm but it still just turned.

I ended up using a C clamp to apply pressure while I turned it with a screwdriver through the holes.

The Lisle 26800 "cube" tool is the one I use. It's sometimes difficult to hold it in contact with the piston. I have three vehicles that have parking brake calipers (the others have separate shoes) and this tool works on them all.

I own a similar cube (BGS 1124). It worked for me on the Mini, flawlessly, better than expected, despite I had 'proper' tools on hand.

I used the universal kit. Yes, the small sliding handle hurts your bare hands (wear Mechanix gloves or equivalent)
The kit I Rented had a short bent up handle . I ended up using a cheap Stanley Screwdriver instead and because it has a handle and is long made the piston easier to wind up .
