When I service my brakes I remove the brake fluid from the reservoir and replace it with new after the caliper pistons are pushed back into bores.
Who else does this as a regular pm?
Also on my Volvo with a non serviceable transmission & no dipstick I also drain & refill the fluid every 10~20,000 miles.
Any else do this routinely?

By 'service' of your brakes, do you mean new pads?

I only ever do a proper flush of the MC every 2-3 years or when I replace pads.

10R80MHT transmission in the truck gets a D&F every 10k, the Honda cars get it every other oil change. (5-7500 miles)

if your method is working don't change anything up about it. Just make sure you keep enough fluid in the reservoir to keep it from running dry. I don't see harm in the transmission service 10-20k maybe a little short of what most manufacturers may recommend like at 30k for transmissions.

when i do a brake job i like to crack open the bleeders while retracting the pistons to bring cleaner fluid into the calipers. but i don't pull any off the reservoir just top off afterwards if needed. a brake bleed is a different story.

I do a complete flush after putting in new pads. Just replacing the fluid in the reservoir isn't doing the calipers and ASB box any good.

Have I done that? Yes. Of course brake fluid does not circulate through the system, so take it for what it's worth.
If you are down there with the wheels off already, perhaps a quickie flush is in order?

Flush is the only way. Every two year, on BMW during track season 2-4 times.

I do every few years for sure. Every two to three I crack the breeders, give it a gravity bleed, grease the slide pins. Its cheap and simple to do.

I owned my Trailblazer for 10 years when I had to change rear rotors and pads. I did it's first brake service (pins needed lube) and the fluid was green. Regular servicing and it's working great still.

On my beater 2002 Sunfire, it never had a brake flyid change from what I could tell, I found greenish blackish fluid in the wheel cylinders. There was also pitting. Just another sign that this should be regularly done.

I only do it if I were to completely flush and bleed the system. Otherwise, the new fluid will not get past the master cylinder and it will just stay there.
I don't see the need to change tranny fluid more often than 30k miles.
