Asked some of you earlier about the Wagner power roller....any way...went ahead and ordered one. Problem: I ordered it off the internet from a company in MS. Got the product on Friday but was missing quite a few things. Came in a Wagner box, but had obviously been opened already. Some of the stuff missing is important and can't really use it unless their with it. I emailed the company back, but of course, no response. I called Quantum, my mastercard company that has internet fraud protection stuff on it and told them to hold off on payment.
My question...what are my options? Paid 94 dollars total for it. Technically, it will paint, but doesn't have the 5 gallon adapter, which is why I bought it in the first place. One part on the actual roller frame itself, had a cracked seal, so maybe it won't paint or it will probably drip paint all over the place.

Wagner will sell replacement parts directly, Home Depot, et al have a fair selection of common replacement parts instore.

just go to home depot and buy the replacment parts. its hard to complain when you get such a good deal online.

i bought a generator the other day for $1625 its 15,000 watts 240v and 22,500 surge. do you know anywhere in the wortld you can buy a generator like that for so cheap? i dont even care that it arrived with 1 wheel missing. i got $1000 off list price and its brand new!

so cont complain, just buy whatever parts you need and be happy.

BUT....that's NOT the point. If they advertise the product at X price, then you should expect that product. Not some half @ss product. I ain't putting up with that crap.

I think you are doing all you can do by contacting both the company and credit-card company.

Once they realize that payment has been stopped, they will be eager to discuss things with you

You have every right to expect a complete product. There are two things that will grab their attention quicker than anything else, assuming they don't respond to your phone calls or emails.

1. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online. Be descriptive about the listing-was it listed as new or "used". Also find out if they are a BBB member.

2. File a complaint with YOUR state Attorney Generals office. If the company is out of state your AG will forward the complaint to the appropriate AG's office. Most AG's offices have a consumer fraud office.

These two avenues word extremely well for getting the attention of a business and had the added advantage of putting them on record.

I understand your frustration ..but first allow the vendor to correct the situation. email in boxes can be spam full and getting around to reading them may take a few days of manual filtering. Many internet vendors are one man shows and they're perpetually swamped.

You'll probably find that they are happy to either swap out the one that they sent you for a new one ..or just ship you the missing pieces. I find the idea of an outright rip as unlikely.

Due to the apparent steal this was, are you sure that this isn't some "scratch and dent" liquidator type operation?? If not ..then, by everyone's accounting, you got something ..for next to nothing..

No, I had emailed them before buying and they said they were all new, not re-manufactured units. I did get email from them just a few minutes ago, and this is what they said:

We are sending out you a new unit, and will include a pre-paid return label
for UPS for you to send the damaged unit back to us. We apologize for this
inconvience. These units are new and not reconditioned.

This restores my faith in online purchases. I appreciate the replys. I have used the BBB online before and they do work.
