Well sealed me a deal on a second car. Bought me a 2003 ford taurus ses with 146k for $1,600. Needs a lil bit of tlc. Has some rust on the LR wheel well ill get patched up when it warms up. VCG is seeping, few Cracks n the belt, F pads could be replaced by summer. Gonna swap the cheap primewell tires out for the Michelin defenders i saved off my moms old taurus.

All in all i bought the car to keep some of the miles off my car and for my lil brothers to use and learn 2 drive. Ill try to get some pics here soon when there is more light.

Yea 3.0 12v pushrod engine. Great engine, easy as heck to work on. Ive owned 3 and work on cars for a living so it will b easy to maintain.

Nope... plus this one has heat and ac. Been looking for about a month and all the ads been saying the heat work but it blew out ice cold.

Good luck with the new addition to the family.

But, I'm really curious why you use the above oil mix on your new 2015? You're probably not getting the full benefit nor the certifications of either add pack (Pennzoil Platinum PurePlus high calcium, moly vs. NAPA moderate calcium, high sodium).

had a case of 6 i bought off amazon. Used 4Q on my dads 08 escape. Had 2 left over, then napa has their $2.99 oil special so i bought 2 cases of napa syn.

It's interesting that a 2003 is a beater and my daily driver is a 1984. You spent $1,600 for the whole car and that's about what I spent to rebuild the engine at 400K including a starter, one axle, a radiator and some misc parts and a mess in the driveway.

I've always thought is was a good idea to have a beater that looked plain and clean, nothing special but ran well and was reliable after some careful TLC and of course an oil change. And it looks like that's exactly what you've got. Good buy.
