I finally made something useful. When I tried to buy the handle kit for my generator from HF, they didn't have any. So I welded a 3/4" malleable coupling to a piece of a stake that's about 5/16" or so thick. This way, I can just screw in a pipe nipple of whatever size I want to use (right now I have an 18" long piece in it), and unscrew it when I don't want it being in the way. Drilled 4 holes in it, and voila! There it is.
