Bought a 100oz Silver Bar

Only if we had Star Trek replicators. You could in theory have as much gold , silver and platinum you could ever want. Weird trivia. Bonaparte Napoleon's parents had a baby rattle made out of Aluminum which at the time was extremely difficult to mine and produce making it more expensive than gold.
So, explain why they can replicate gold or silver but cannot replicate dilithium crystals? After all, you can make synthetic kyber crystals.

One thing I don't understand is-
I see these TV commercials selling gold & silver.
It's stated the people (with all this gold & silver) are 'actual' customers.
How many people on the street would recognize them ?
How many people would then know where to get some 'free' gold ?

Today, protecting yourself from scams/burglary is difficult enough.
Question: would you do a TV commercial showing 'everybody' how much gold you have at home ?
I WOULD NOT !

So, either these people are stupid, or the commercial is not being honest.
I sleep soundly at night with no concerns whatsoever about someone breaking in to steal my silver.

I alos have a new hobby now - first thing when I wake up in the morning is check Silver price. It is going up nicely. Bought my first bar at $4940Cdn and the price today is $5290Cdn - that is a seven percent increase. Not bad at all.

But you're NOT doing TV commercials where you're sitting at the kitchen table showing the world what you have.
Even if the people on TV have no gold at home, their setting themselves up to be robbed.

My new hobby has been trapping the mice outside to keep them away from the house.
I like your hobby more.
Congrats on your timing.

Question. What are American silver quarters and silver dollars worth today?
Silver halves, quarters and dimes are worth 21.98 times face value right as I right this. That is to sell them. To buy them 24.81 times face value. That will vary depending on who you deal with. I am not so sure on silver dollars since they have more of a collectors value.

As melt value they contain 0.7234 troy ounces of silver per dollar of face value. So a dime is approximately 0.072 oz silver, quarter 0.18 and half 0.36. You can also weigh the collection, multiply by 0.9 (the percent of silver) and convert to troy ounces. The overall factor for that is 13.25 troy ounces silver per pound of coins.
