Figured I would post a few pics from the convention (anime-boston) Ended up using the MBTA Red/Green line to get to/from hotel, though friday night we ended up crashing in a room with some friends at the convention hotel itself since we got really, really hammered at the bar after the con. Anyway,

so, I'm very pleased with my mpg. This was cruise between 65 and 74 depending on where I was at and the flow of traffic. The A/C was on the whole time to keep out the humidity. this was taken when I got to the hotel parking lot. And the mpg calc is quite accurate on my focus too, within a tenths consistently. I picked out some of the best pics of the con, Boston, and Cosplayers for your entertainment.

There is an anime called Hetalia, where the WWII countries are turned into boys. Well, the cosplayers for it are almost exclusively girls for some reason. Anyway, it was a game for us to find all the countries.

England.

In the Madoka anime, this thing literally bites the head off of one of the characters. Quite gruseomely

I don't really watch naruto, but I'm told she pulls of the expression perfectly.

No convention would be complete without cosplay maids with nekomimi (cat ears)

Hopefully the friends were the lookers, and not the pudgy star wars wannabes

Yes. The artist alley, fanart, as well as original art. All kinds of things from jewelry, to posters, to books, etc.

Also, you have that you are going to someplace where like minded people go and you can be yourself, ie a geek. That's not all though, cons also have panels, which can be analyzing a show to find relevance to say, Japan's perspective on WWII, to actual producers and directors. For example, at AB there was the Japanese Producer and Director for the anime Sword Art Online, for a QA session. Sometimes you have actors. Fan Expo in Toronto last year had a ton, from Christopher Lloyd, to Japanese Mangakas (Manga Authors), Seiyuu (voice actors/actresses), to the walking dead cast where you can get autographs, pictures taken with, etc.

Some are just airings of shows or anime. Some (later at night) are 18+ panels like live H-dubbing (always hilarious), just plain H screeings. Which we went to, and everyone was very drunk, and was quite hilarious.

And then you have concerts too. There is all kind of stuff that goes on at cons.

That's cool. The reason I asked is that's all I see in the background of your pictures.

I don't think "con" is any more (or less) strange than any other event where people get together, dress in costumes, and talk / act out subjects they like. If you're really into it, I appreciate that.

That makes two of us. Other than the Star Wars wannabees I've no idea who any of the others represent.
