Actually to be more precise:

Reman. Water Pump

Reman. or New Alternator

Reman. Starter

Which company would you say makes better units?

Are Bosch units remanufactured/produced in the US, abroad or both?

Thanks-

From personal preference, I would chose AC Delco over Bosch, any day. I would chose 'new' over reman. if budget allows. I have heard this many times ( AC over Bosch) on the Chevy Impala list especially re. O2 sensors. May we ask, what type vehicle are we looking at?

they are probably rebuilt at the same facitlity just reboxed to be sold through their respective distribution channels. i'd make sure they are "remanufactured" as opposed to "rebuilt". rebuilt tends to reuse more parts to be cheaper.
i am not a big fan of bosch's aftermarket O2 sensors. they seem to not be OEM quality. NTK makes really good O2 sensors

It seems to me that all remanufactured units are done by a 'remanufacturer' that specializes in those items, and Bosch just redistributes them with their name at the parts store. I assume that the other remanufactured brands do the same.

The wear parts have been changed out, and unit is tested.

I do not have any other info.

The problem with remans is that no two reman places follow the same standurds. Some just reuse the casting and molded backalite pices while some reuse everything they can! If you have a choice always go with a new one if you can afford it! If you must go remaned get the best warranty you can cause you will be pulling that part off to replace it again. I used Autozone for all my import starters and alternators. I normaly get 7-9 years out of the factory starters and alternators. I am lucky if I get two years out of the Autozone Duralast ones. The Autozone Duralast have lifetime warranty and I use them!

It is true that Bosch O2 sensors usualy do not last as long as the OEM Delco units. It is also true that NGK and Denso plugs tend to hold up better then Delco plugs of simalar materials and design. As for water pumps I have never really seen a difference from one brand to the next!
