Bosch oil filters

I use Bosch filters and they seem to be doing there job.My question is why is the Premium oil filter made in Germany and the more expensive DistancePlus made in the USA? Thanks Joe

Not aware that the majority black Bosch Premium filters are made in Germany. Afaik, most Bosch Premium filters, like those sold in AZ are made in the US, same as the Purolator oil filters and Bosch DP.

They may be some Bosch Premium made Germany, but they would be the exception, imo.

I never really looked at a Bosch filter's box close enough to see where they are made.

Dually - Did it say "Made in Germany" right on the box? I'll have to look closer next time I'm in the store.

I have several Bosch Premium 3323 equivalent to FL400S made in USA.

I picked one up for the Volvo as my OEM filters were still back ordered on my last OCI. I believe it was made in Germany as well. I vaguely remember seeing it when I picked it up over the K&N.
