I know the Bosch filters are mad by Champion, I am wondering how long these filters are good for? I got in on the free rebate from Auto Zone and have 2 of them. My vehicles are both Hyundai's, and the filter is the same for both. Is this filter good for 7500 miles? One car is on GC for 7500 miles, the other is on Valvoline DuraBlend for 5000 miles. Which would be better, or is does it matter?

I have been running Pure One filters for 10,000 miles for many years now, no problems to report.

My strong suspicion is that, since 7,500 miles has become the dafault oil change interval for many makes (whether or not one believes in such intervals), that ANY name brand "OEM equivalent" filter would have to be good for at least that duration. Some (many?) makes, such as Honda and Chrysler, call for filter service every other oil change, meaning service up to 15,000 miles. In comparison, 7,500 mi shouldn't be tough unless you're in a particularly dusty environment. Personally, I'd feel perfectly comfortable with the two combinations/intervals you mentioned.

That 7500 Mile oil change interval has been around since the late 70's (with 3000 mile severe service OCI), with most owners manuals telling you then to change the filter every OTHER oil change, no reason why any filter made today, even the Fram that is advertised as "improved-lasts to 7500 miles" shouldn't work correctly and efficiently in your described OCI.
