I got a few specs of bondo on my paint, both catalyzed and uncatalyzed, I was doing a ttop conversion and it got all over the place, how can i get it off without wrecking the finish? I tried a claybar, but it only smears it and when i rub it hard, it feels like the paint will rip off.

Off the top of my head, try some mineral spirits or some of that "Bug-be-gone" stuff for the uncatalyzed areas. As for the hardened stuff, I ponder a gental scrape with a single edge blade followed by buffing compound and wax.

I ponder if your clay bar is any good now that it's contaminated with resin.

Good luck.

Thanks, ill try this stuff next time i get a chance. Its not too bad just a few spots... Yeah the claybars definentally wrecked now so i tossed it. It smeared the stuff like crazy when i used it. Fortunately, i was almost ready to throw that one anyways.

I have used clay to remove some incredible hard to remove things. I am amazed at what it will take off, sometimes it takes five or six minutes or more of straight non stop rubbing.

Can you say elbow grease!
