And Boeing is building the fuselage and parts of the wings of the 7E7 mostly out or composites.
Let's hope the Airbus vertical composite tail plane truss structure of the A-380 won't fail. That's made by a US company.
Composites have been used extnsively in load-bearing parts. See main and tail rotor of the Apache helicopter, main rotor of Super Cobra, ships' propellors.
