Is the Zerex HT12 BMW coolant fair game for a 2020 X3? Appears so, or is it best just to get the OEM BMW coolant?

HT-12 is HT-12. Much like the older G48, Zerex sold that one too. That designation indicates the composition.

If BMW says the two can mix, sure. FWIK, HT-12 is a PSiHOAT using 2-EHA.
Factory spec is HT-12, and that's what mine should have from the factory - but it is backwards compatible with the B48 coolant they used to use.
Just wanted to make sure that Zerex HT-12 is the same thing as BMW HT-12!
Yes it is. If it’s not then that’s a pretty big problem.
