First report after switching to BMW 0w30 LL-01FE in my B58TU2. Mixed driving, a few trips towing boat. 6k miles on the car currently and replaced with BMW 0w30 again.

Some Titanium, looks to be potentially a Castrol blend. I thought Shell took over for Castrol in blending BMW OEM oil, maybe I'm hallucinating.

Sheared down a lot, it is now solidly in the 20-weight range. Euro-spec 0W-30’s are usually way more shear-resistant!

High likelihood that fuel caused the viscosity loss, and not shear. Blackstone does not measure fuel accurately. I wish folks would quit using them.

Also, LL01-FE only has a minimum HTHS limit of 3.0. This differs from most other Euro 30 grade oils that have a min HTHS limit of 3.5. So, it would not take very much fuel to bring it down into the 20 grade viscosity range.
