Blinker Problem...

I put in some clear corners this past weekend. After the installation, I went to go for a drive and then noticed that when I try my left turn signal, the arrow in the dash just stays solid. The right turn signal works though.

I tried the hazards, and while both arrows flash on the dash, the front drivers side doesn't flash or light up. When I try a left turn signal, the rear left signal stays solid and the front left doesn't light up at all.

Thing is, both bulbs in the driver's side signal light up when I use my headlights/driving lights. I'm using the orange bulbs that came with the corners, if that matters at all.

I just think it is weird that both bulbs in the signal are lighting up but won't blink.

It sounds to me like you have a bad bulb or no juice going to the bulb. The bulb probably has to sets of contacts. That is why it is working when you turn the lights on. What number is the bulb?

3057. No brand name on it.

Its a bad bulb more than likely. The solid arrow in the dash is the way the manufacturer uses to tell you a bulb is burned out. Most bulbs that are both a turn signal and a marker/tail light have two filaments.

In my first post I should have said filaments instead of contacts. The way I see it the flasher works similiar to a circuit breaker. The front left is not working so there is not enough current to open the contacts in the flasher. Therefore the green arrow on the dash stays on whenever the left side is on.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but years ago there was the 1034 bulb. Then later they came out with the 1157. Then 2057. Now they have 3057, 3157 and 3357. Can someone explain the difference between the 3057,3157, and 3357.
