Anyone use Blink? Thoughts on this? I’m mostly interested in a system for those few times a year we are traveling together and nobody's home. I don’t necessarily think I would need a subscription service and supposedly this works without one, although I don’t know if it calls anyone or just stores video.

Is there a system where I can turn the monitoring on and off as needed. We would only need to pay for a couple of months a year.

1 word answer.. sucks.. almost totally worthless outside except in very specific use cases.

Almost anything can set it off.. headlights, tow truck etc.

inside if the rooms dont have windows might work ok.

I'm happy with Wyze and use them on two properties. Solar panel with internal battery units.

I’ve used them since they first entered the market, roughly nine years ago.

Except for some quality control issues (some cameras last eight years, some only about two), I have no complaints.

You need to learn to tailor the settings to your needs, that’s the key. They will indeed react to light changes such as headlights if you have the sensitivity set too high.

Wyze works pretty well for me.. the blink stuff is nice I believe with the preset settings you can expect up to 2 yrs battery life, not sure what perfect situation that may be. if I were to swap out the wyze tech I would go with blink cams

Been using Blink for 3 years, no complaints. I use a local flash drive to store the clips, no cloud, no subscriptions. And yes Blink has some pretty comprehensive settings to tailor to your needs.
