Cutler is just a rookie. He will make the usual rookie mistakes and occasionally look good. He will benefit next year from the experience he gets starting games this year. The Broncos know that Plummer is done. I don't know what happened to Plummer. He was great last year and hopeless this year. Maybe defenses just figured out how to stop him-by preventing his rolling out for passes.
That game between the Colts and Titans was unbelievable! Who would imagine a field goal that long.
I do think that Aikman is a really good game announcer. He is better than I expected him to be.
The Broncos are done for the season. And I am a big time Broncos fan. My guess is that the Broncos will be 8-8 or 9-7 for the year. It will actually be good if they lose most of their remaining games. That way they can get higher draft choices. I think that the Broncos defense is over-rated. And on offense they will have to wait until Cutler becomes a good quarterback. They also need a really good running back (I don't know if Tatum Bell really can fill the need there). And they need a really good wide receiver. They have Javon Walker but they need a very good receiver on the other side. Ron Smith is wearing down. They play the Chargers next and the Broncos will probably lose again.
I think San Diego will take the AFC Western Division. It would not surprise me at all if they go to the Super Bowl. They have the best running back maybe in history, a strong defense, etc. The top 4 teams in the AFC look good-Patriots, Ravens, Colts, and Chargers. But I personally think that the Chargers are the best. And they may even be able to play at home if the Colts keep losing. I still think you can stop the Colts if you can pressure Manning. And he has major problems against 3-4 defenses.
The NFC does not look quite as strong. The Bears are good but I am losing confidence in Grossman and even their defense has a weakness against the run. The Cowboys, Saints, and Seahawks look pretty good but not as good as the best teams in the AFC. Something is missing with the Seakhawks this year. And the Saints are pretty good but I just don't see them going to the Super Bowl. The Cowboys could pressure the Bears.
