yeah.. not happening. My post was blending gear lube with gear lube. not motor oil.

agreed. i found out the 140 wt is really only a thick 90. and the 90 is a very thin 90.

No no no Mr Man, you can't get off that easily. If you're going to just use one fluid then you need to add a heater and cooler to the diff, to make sure that it's not too thick when cold out and not too thin when it gets warm. Then you must fret endlessly about what kind of coolant to use in the heating/cooling system. After you finish you'll get a bitog merit badge if it passes muster.

Don't think for a moment the two are equal.

The EP adds and heavier base oils of differential fluids provide protecton in differentials that PCMO cannot provide.

I've been looking at a thinner (75/90) gear lube to save fuel. that was it. No way am I mixing motor oil in a diff.
