Academy had 9mm Blazer brass for $11.99.
Not sure if there's a firearm deal section

they have 9mm for 9.99
I haven't seen brass 9mm for under $10.99/box in many years, at least avaiable. Rural King will have it on sale for that price every so ofen but they sell it out almost as soon as it gets put on their shelves. Is it the same with that store ?

AIM Surplus always has one brand or another on sale for $10.99/box though and they're local to me.

No, that was a serious question.

In NJ hollow points are verboten.

Then there are people who are... cheap.
It’s not that simple.

Hollow point bullets are legal - If you are hunting, on your own land, or at a range, but they are not legal for carry.

However, Hornady critical duty, for example, is not considered to have a “open tip“ and is therefore legal to carry in New Jersey. It is an excellent self-defense ammunition choice.

Otherwise, I’m not sure what you’re asking. “Do people carry this”? How would this group know the carry habits of an entire population? Particularly in a restrictive state like New Jersey?

Perhaps if your question was directed to members of this forum in New Jersey, it would make sense.

Otherwise, it appears you just don’t know much about the subject and are throwing out a question to get a reaction.

I am a former NJ cop. I had my basic police training at the NJSP Academy where we learned NJ Criminal Code...2C. From what I recall and I believe it still valid, it is a fourth degree felony to have hollow points in a weapon that you are carrying or that is in a weapon in your possession...two different things.
There are exceptions including law enforcement(was our State issued ammunition), military and private security personnel assigned to nuclear facilities.
You can possess it on your own property and at target ranges. You can legally transport it but it must be in a separate compartment in your vehicle from any firearms.
There may be a grey area with the polymer filled rounds...that might require a court case to sort out as I don't think it's been tested yet...not sure. Have a second home in NJ but primary is in PA and I'm retired from LE for years but that's my understanding of it.
For personal defense in NJ, I'd recommend SWC in +P unless you're in the aforementioned group.

Thankfully, I can carry pretty much whatever here in Georgia ☺️

They would get the job done in most cases.

It's not bullet diameter or type or brand name or gun color or case capacity. It's precision and accuracy.
I think they're more concerned about over penetration and hitting something behind the target.

Are there people out there who actually use these rounds as their EDC?
Who said anything about "EDC" ? Those are target or range ammo to me, in fact, I have never seen CCi Blazer in hollow-point at all. I'm sure they make it though and based on my experience with their FMJ rounds, I wouldn't hesitate to buy hollow-points from them if the price was right. And nobody needs to equate "life" with "money" here either.

Seems like 98% of the US is the same and places like NJ are absolutely the exception. In Ohio, I'm not aware of any restrictions whatsoever. When it comes to firearms, I think it was a "guideline" from the AG that basically said Ohio has no restrictions either and they let everything there fall back to federal laws.
