What oils are BITOGers using?

Since 01/01/2010, 293 oil changes have been made (and posted to the oil change thread) in 85 days, an average of 3.4 oil changes per day.

What I find interesting is the amount of PU usage in the last 30 days. It was actually the 2nd most popular oil (after M1) in the last month, despite having been released about that long. Marketing works?

I think the more popular boutique oils are losing steam on Bitog. I think a lot of people try them but don't go back. My opinion so don't flame me please.

You liked that? LOL

I don't see as many used oil analysis as I did a year or so ago, featuring "The Boutique oils" and a lot less talk about them..........JMO

Very nice work!

I didn't expect M1 to be that far in the lead, but figured it was close to #1. Since I don't see any other M1 stuff, like the blend, EP, or 5000, did you combine them, or did no one respond with them?

PP is a given around here. As you stated, PU seems to be the new "in" oil to have. Heck, any Pennzoil is popular.

I think because all the cheapskate grannies here badmouth the "boutique" oils so much and rant "just buy the cheapest oil you can find" so much that people get scared. That was a joke - sorta.
But to be honest, I fell for that this month and stopped using RP to try the Toyota stuff. Not at all based on cost, but just the banter back and forth on other things being as good (or better?)
Not sure. I think I put way too much thought into it and psych'd myself out.
I have to laugh at the Ultra numbers though - talk about drinking Kool-Aid before the data is in...

Thats because the marketers have fooled the general public that group 3 oils are "synthetic" and as good as a real group 4/5 true synthetic "boutique" oil......they even have alot of people here fooled- just look how many think PU is some new magic potion that will dramatically clean/protect better than the last oil over hyped here.
