Tiguan is VW508.00/509.00. The current model was always that approval, never VW504/00/507.00.

BTW - it was a fully-loaded SEL R-Line...it's NICE and really, not slow.

Idk, I drove it several times, and feels slower than my Tiguan, but it is heavier too.
I'm sure that each dealer is different, but my dealer seems pretty careful. I'm sure that the bulk stuff is likely the latest 0w20, but they always list Castrol Edge Professional 5w40 on my paperwork and I see the bottles on the desk when I come in for service. Literally the best service I've had from any dealer and I've even had to deal with warranty work once. They have awards all over the service writing area and it doesn't seem like BS to me with how I've been treated.
Especially to an EPMA microProbe operator like myself.
This is BITOG. Everything calls for FS 0W-40 or ESP X3 0W-40.
