My stock tire size is 265/70r17. Will discount tire still mount 285/75r17 on the stock rim?
I just wasnt sure what the lingo is for this. If any of the corporate chains will even allow it. Im not sure how much larger you're allowed to even go on stock rimsOff the truck, probably. If you drive it in, maybe not.
Why not ask them? Why ask us?
My Walmart refused to mount wider tires in my lawn mower years ago. Had to go to an independent shop. With that being said, may not be a bad ideaMy local Wal-Mart will only mount the tire size shown on the placard on the door jamb.
Of course, they don't know/don't care when you carry the wheels in.
Take it to Enrique's tire place down by the tracks. They'll mount them for you no questions asked. Probably give you a big cash discount, too.
If you want to know what DT will do, then you should call and ask them.My stock tire size is 265/70r17. Will discount tire still mount 285/75r17 on the stock rim?
