POSSIBLE AMSOIL CORPORATE OFFICES CLOSURE FOR APRIL 11, 2008

Due to the impending arrival of severe weather across the Great Lakes
region Friday, AMSOIL is offering notice that corporate offices and
telephone ordering and support lines may be closed. This storm system
is estimated to deliver over 18 inches of snow and winds of over 50 mph
to the Duluth/Superior area throughout the overnight hours and into the
morning. AMSOIL will determine whether or not to suspend operations
shortly before normal business hours on Friday April 11 and will post
any updates or official closure messages in the Dealer Zone and on our
corporate telephone message. Orders can still be placed online through
the AMSOIL storefront in the event of a corporate headquarters closure.

Yep, heard about that. My girlfriend just told me about it on the phone tonight, said they're supposed to get a blizzard tonight. She's over in the twin cities area in Minnesota. As far as I know, we're not supposed to get any here in Michigan until Saturday.

I'm close to Waterloo, Iowa today and it rained about 3" and the wind gusted to 45MPH most of the day. Lots of fun driving in that cross wind!

Yep!! It's nuts around here - I'm just south of that area & Duluth is getting pummeled.

Hey ThirdeYe - stop taking the women here - the good single ones are hard enough to find the way it is.............

So glad I don't live up there. I couldn't deal with it. NJ is as far north as I will ever live.

Army Corp of Failed Engineers will open the Bonnet Carre Spillway just north of New Orleans today in order to relieve pressure on the downstream Mississippi River levees. This allows the excess river water to be diverted through Lake Pontchartrain to the Gulf. Causes include heavy rains and snow melt throughout the river's drainage basin which includes basically everything east of the Rockies. Impacts include likely algae blooms and fish kills in the saltwater lake due to the heavy fertilizer content of the river. Understandably, NOLA people are a little skittish about the reliability of any flood control effort. But, hey, at least the annual dead zone in the Gulf off the mouth of the river may be smaller this summer. Not.

The truth doesn't sell carbon credits or taxes.

I tell you what gets ignored - studies like the most recent ocean temperatures - which show no change.

But the weather is supposed to be close to 70°F tomorrow. Right on!!

I only pointed out that there was a difference between climate and weather. As for my "side of the argument," how can you comment, since I didn't express any opinion or belief in that regard? Don't put words in my mouth.
