I bought a Big Tex Utility Trailer back in 1999 for $900.00

I really do not use it much, since I no longer mow any big yards, My Mailman said someone was interested, and he asked me what I wanted for it and I said $300.00

The guy calls me today and wants to buy it, I look up prices on the net and used ones are going for $600.00 to $800.00

The newer ones are now like $1400.00

It seems these are very good trailers, I also want to sell my walk behind mower and I was thinking maybe sell this as a package with the trailer.

Is a trailer something I should hold on too since you never know when you might need to use it.

This trailer has the 15 inch rims and the tires are original, it has a 2900 pound carrying capacity.

I just think that I am selling this too low, do I tell the guy I want more money or should I just keep it until I can sell the walk behind mower with the trailer.

Don't take less than it is worth. Tell the buyer you changed your mind, run an ad for the price you want and take a buyer that way.

Trailers have gotten really expensive. I only need one once or twice a year, and uhaul will rent a really big trailer for 20 bucks a day, so I just do that.

I'm sure you could craiglist it for 500 bucks and it would be gone quick enough. At least around here it would.

I really cant haul anything with my 1983 El Camino, its just a cruiser.

I have a few friends with trucks, so it may be in my best interest to hold on to this trailer unless I got a better price.

I might as well just keep it and borrow my friends truck if I need to use the trailer.

I would probably end up selling it and then need it for something.

You should sell it for $300, you are not a kid you can't just change your mind. If your word is worth anything, stand by what you said to the mailman. Next time take your time before saying anything.

NO, not in this economy.

The other side of this is that the mailman took advantage of the fact that c3po didn't know what it was worth...but c3po caught his mistake without a contract being signed, so good for him!

My Dad jumped into the debate and told me not too sell it until he moves out of his house one day.

It seems like he has some projects coming up in the future where he would need too use the trailer.
