I think it may be the string of lights (at the top of the photo) to aid in night riding.

I didn't even see those and they certainly are not the subject of the picture.

Details of this trail system would be interesting. Like, how are these street lights powered? Are there outlets along the trail?
Battery powered? Battery with solar panels?

The wooden platform to a drop! The lights are temporary and are an awesome addition for our weekly Wednesday night rides. The lights are powered by a generator.

Not a good angle to even see the drop. How much of a drop is it?
