I can't find much info about the BG Syncro Shift II on this board but the Talon/DSM guys swear by it. My info shows it to be a 75W80 GL-4 but I don't know what else makes it so special. My thoughts are this product is probably more correct for for my Talon's transmission than the infamous GM Synchromesh oil. The car didn't like Redline MTL

The other option might be the Specialty Formulations MTL-P and I would like to support a sponsor....if it makes sense to ship 3L of oil across the continent.

A gallon is the same price as three qts, I believe [from spec form].
I just changed to MTL P - best I've used, so far. Real good specs on paper, too.

Hey, yeah, I hear the same buzz about BG on Talon's also.
I just put it in my Probe GT, and I must say a noticable differance. The stuff I had in there before came out clean and when it was freezing out, it was really hard to shift.
Now with BG, piece of cake!
But I don't think it can perform a miracle as my synchro's are pretty bad. It's helping, but if you want me to keep you informed about it saving my transmission, just email me.
Conclusion, BG 792, yes!

I've been curious about BG Synchroshift for a while to use in my Dodge SRT-4, but it's hard to find in my area, and I can never seem to find a webpage for it. Any information on how to find this fluid would be helpful. thanks.

Idrinkmotoroil, where are you in Ontario? If you're in the Toronto area, Willison Chrysler has it on Eglinton.
If not, go to 411.ca and look up WagonMaster in Richmond Hill. They distribute it. Just say I'm looking for a retailer selling BG 792, and they'll tell you.
Though it's about $20/ bottle, it's worth it!

I'M in London, but TO is close enough for me to get some in the near future. Thanks for the info I will stop by there. That is odd that a Chrysler dealer sells it, wow, wonder what they have to say about putting it in my srt-4 ?. thanks.

I probably would have tried BG Syncroshift if the stuff was more widely available. Red Line can be a pain to find and even that stuff is easier than Motul ... which is easier to find than BG Syncroshift.

In fact, I don't know if I have ever seen the stuff for sale anywhere (and no, at this point, I'm not interested

).

MolaKule, I'll call you in a few days regarding some MTL-P and maybe a few other items.
