Has anyone used BG Quick Clean additive with good results. Have heard it will help in reducing oil consumption. Appreciate replys.

Yup.

I have used the Quick Clean with the Powersteering Flush, Trans Flush, the Engline Flush, Coolant Flush. The one that I may not be so sure of is the Coolant flush. Other than that the Power Steering stuff is great. Engine Flush seems to mostly do the pressurized areas like oil galleys, bearings and rings. But it to seems to work great.

Thanks for the info. Plan on using it for engine flush hopefully to help ring problem and reduce oil consumption.

I have used the BG109 (engine flush you want) and the few other cars we have done in the shop all seem to respond favorably. Seems to help a bit in start up rattles. Not sure why (seems to help hydraulic lifters function smoother) but last winter I used it and then ran the last formulation of Havoline and got FANTASTIC results on my UOA and it was 10W30 in a Chicago winter with a week or two of subzero stuff. YUCK!!

Thinking of doing it again once in a while since I am back on conventional oil.

Just run the car at about 1200 RPM for 20 minutes or idle for about 25-30 and drain and refill. Ideally you may want to change your oil twice just to get the cleaner out but I did not and it worked great!!!
