Yea..I heard the same speal from a mechanic long-distance. But he was hyping BG big time. I'd used 44K before and had excellent results. I used BG109 engine flush after replacing my PCV system to remove as much black, gas-smelling oil as possible. Then I refilled with synthetic & added the MOA. Didn't hurt, but then again why pay for it when you're already using 100%syn oil?
I think it's an older product meant for use with dino (conventional) oil, not synthetic.
As to accuracy from local distributers, I called and was told that you could add 109 and drive around, no problems. It would soon evaporate. I replied the can doesn't say that. Further, it kills the viscosity...flies out of the drain hole like water. I ignored his advice and followed the directions on the can.
