I got 10 bottles of SLOB at the regular price $1.99 (no sale here).
Im reading the instructions today and W.T.F... the instructions are for a gas additive!

So, the scoop is this:
Pink bottles with "street legal high performance oil boost" labels on the front and the collar of the bottle but "street legal high performance fuel kick" on the reverse label with the info how it "treats up to 16 gal of fuel."

Now, this is a $1.99 question: what is inside?
No wonder this stuff made its way to big lots.

I'm not taking my chances!

BTW: code on the bottle reads A0333

You know something is wrong if you need the directions. I think life is simpler when a fellow just doesn't read so much.

Smell it and look at it, does it seem like an oil or smell like a strong solvent?

I will bet its just SLOB with an error in having the wrong reverse label. But yeah I could see a MAJOR problem for those who dont come to this forum and might just grab this stuff thinking it will help their car. They may follow whatever the directions tell them to. I would imagine it wouldnt be a good idea to dump SLOB in your tank....

Best case, it might just settle in the fuel tank. Worst case it might clog a fuel filter, mess up an injector, fuel plugs, poison O2 sensor, maybe damage the cat.

Fuel additives are usually thin and sloshy. And smell like solvent. Oil additives are usually fairly thick and don't smell very strong. (Yes there are exceptions.) If it pours like water, probably the fuel add. If it pours like syrup, oil add. Though maybe SLOB is thin? Haven't used any myself.

Only when all else fails ..read the instructions.

It's the American way

All 4700 ppm of that phosphorus in the fuel tank should ruin a few cats, but yeah, fuel treatment is water thin and SLOB is thick like a 70 weight oil or so.

And that Diesel lube oil extender is cool to use in reg gas engines? I might have to give that a try! Boy, I am really wanting to head to walmart now! First the Mopar ATF+4 and now this

I was at the local Big Lots today & on the clearance rack was "SLOB Street Legal High Perf. Fuel Kick" reg. $1.99 & marked down to $0.50 a bottle so I bought 8. What the heck...if it does nothing I am out very little!

The bottles I bought here in Buffalo,Ny are labeled correctly:1 bottle will treat up to 16 gallons of fuel.
Still plenty of SLOB Oil additve left here at BigLots also.

Is it? Deep breaths.

I'm just pointing out that SLOB as spoken of highly in our many threads is Street Legal High Performance Oil Boost and want to make sure everyone realizes it and doesn't all the sudden think we are discussing the Street Legal gas additive. It may be great stuff, I don't know. But I just wanted to make sure people who only half read the thread don't break their neck getting to BigLots for the wrong thing.
