Seems like a well thought out article/presentation. It kinda leans toward implying that most of your standard filtration is inadequate. Very few filter do much for 10um particles. Most don't even work to 10um in the nominal. So, more or less, most of what the typical filter misses is damaging your engine. Now regardless of the filter's (any filter's) efficiency ..what it doesn't trap is going to damage the engine. The amount is the question. Our OEM spec's tell us that a fairly liberal filter is good enough. Since this doesn't prevent an engine from 150k+ of reasonable life expectancy ...we kinda have to think a bit about the 2um-10um critical nature of particle in the engine. It can't be all that critical ..at least over 150k+/-.

I did think that it was authoritative and informative.
