Don't need anything bigger than 2-1/2 or 3 tons. Will get light use so I do not want to spend super big bucks but I also want good quality. There are so many brands available and I do not have a clue which one to buy. My current floor jack works great but I am getting tired of the hand pumping. It's he$$ when you get old! Thanks in advance for your help.

Another vote here for the Arcan 3-ton floor jack from Costco. Worlds better than the cheap Craftsman flex-o-matic and raises the car with far fewer pumps.

Also have heard good things about the Harbor Freight aluminum floor jack - much lighter than the Arcan and raises a car with only a few pumps.

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I am looking for an air driven hydraulic floor jack. Do not want a bottle jack as it does not have enough travel. The Arcan looks nice but probably not much of an upgrade over what I have. It appears that most of the air/hydraulic floor (aka service) jacks are way too big and expensive for me.

If you're looking for new, there are no cheap, quality air hydraulic jacks.

I see them at farm auctions from time to time, and even then used ones go for $75 to $200.

Yep, think I am barking up the wrong tree on this one.
