I don't use much 2cycle mix.

I have a chainsaw, trimmer and hedge clipper that require mix.

I try to only mix up a small quantity at a time .
I have been using a trufuel/craftsman premixed fuel metal can to remix in.

They are a quart size which I feel like is a good amount for my needs

The only thing I don't like it that I have to use a funnel to fill them.
And I cant see how full they are when filling so sometime will overflow onto the floor.

This looks nice .

Any suggestions on what to use?
Ideally similar size but see-through/clear?

I don't see this as a big deal. Really, you can you any container rated for gasoline. I use a 2.5 gl plastic gas can because 2 gl gets me to the 32:1 I need for my wonderful 1996 Lawn Boy Gold Series-the best walking mower ever made.

Can't one repurpose a 1 quart oil bottle that has a site gauge in the side?
Send me some money for shipping and I can send you a few. Red Valvoline Max transmission fluid bottles might be nice too.

Not approved to store gasoline in

Really, the "NO-SPILL" brand of 1.25 gallon tank is about the easiest choice. They work pretty well, are easy to deal with and are reasonably inexpensive. The video shows how they work.

Certainly, one can purchase uber expensive alternatives. I'm not sure they are truly any better.

I should have remembered that repurposing bottles is no approved. Sat on my brains for shy of 1000 miles yesterday.
They make some smaller bottles for forestry service fire fighters I believe

I know it's wrong.... but I've been using a white plastic bleach jug since I was a professional lumberjack/firewood cutter in the early 90's. I always just keep using the newest jug I have. I have 7 saws, one weedeater and one gasoline powered jackhammer. I go through a gallon of mix every 2-3 months.

I have a number of them. They are pretty good. Especially the ones with the spout. But they are not better than the NO-Spill brand cans with regard to ease of use and spills.

Do you have a pic of that wonderful Lawn Boy that you could share with the class?

I have a 2-stroke snow blower, a 2-stroke string trimmer, and a chain saw that seldom is used. Even during the summer I will use nearly a gallon of pre-mix in the string trimmer. I always add Sta-bil when I mix it and have never had problems starting any out-of-season equipment.

Since 50:1 is only 2.6oz to one gallon of gasoline, I am not sure how easy it would be to mix less than one gallon quantities.

Would LOVE to get one of those small No-Spill tanks, either one or two gallon size. I bought a two gallon size for my son to use with his snow blower. My old metal 2-gallon fuel tank which I use for pre-mix is still holding strong, tough to justify $20-$25 for a small plastic gas can when the can I have is still good.

I just use the 32oz metal premix can.
I have a large syringe I use to measure the .75oz of 2 cycle oil.
Cost about a buck for the syringe.

I forgot the rest of my post apparently.

I fill by using an empty qt bottle of oil and funnel or else usually end up getting gas all over.

While not recommended for storage I see nothing wrong with that use.
