Hi everyone. Having an alfa romeo 147 1.9 jtd q2 which has stock power output as 150 hp and tuned with big turbo, custom exhaust decatted to 220 hp
My handbook advices me to use 5w40 acea b3 api cf or fiat 9.55535-n2 certification

For last month, car starts working so loud looks like Hydraulic lifters aren't oiled well. Usually I change it with selenia 5w40 but in last change I don't know which oil is used.

In this situation I am searching on motul 8100 xcess 5w40, mobil 1 new life 0w40, shell Helix ultra pureplus 5w40, liqui moly top tec 4100, fuchs titan gt1 xtl 5w40.

should I buy mobil even it's 0w40? Shell 5w40 seems thinner than mobil 0w40 at cold according to technical data sheet 40 c viscosity.

Advices are expected. Thanks.

Is it good to be gtl based for these?

I have compared them tonight, looks like shell ultra 5w40 pureplus is good for everything. If it has 3.88 for real, it will be best till a Poe oil.

I'd say something thicker like Selenia WR or Total Quartz 9000 energy 5W40, but my own 1910 block doesn't have hydraulic lifters, nor a high output, so I tend to favor heavy oils!
SHU 5W40 is good too. What filter are opyou using, and what's your OCI?

Using oem original filter, should I use any else?

What's oci btw?
Then it's shell helix ultra.

If your original oil filter is made in Italy, keep it. If it's the new made in China version, change it for a Purflux or Hengst or MANN, and chances are you'll get a bit less startup noise.
I don't really know for the OCI... 10-15000Km ?

Oil Change Interval.

I like Shell Helix Ultra 5W40 as an oil, also Valvoline SynPower in A3/B4.
