Here is Hebrew National’s Beef Frank ingredient list:
Beef, Water, Contains 2% or Less of: Salt, Sodium Lactate, Spice, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Paprika, Sodium Diacetate, Garlic Powder, Sodium Erythorbate, Sodium Nitrite, Flavorings.
And Oscar Mayer Beef Frank ingredient list:
Beef, Water, Contains Less than 2% of Salt, Corn Syrup, Dextrose, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Phosphates, Sodium Diacetate, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Extractives of Paprika, Dried Garlic, Spice, Sodium Nitrite.
They are nearly identical, and both contain Sodium Nitrite. Looking at the nutritional values they're almost identical in calories, and even worse, one single frank contains about 30% of the daily recommended sodium intake.
But if you feel the need to munch on a processed meat product product, chock full of chemicals, all the while pretending that it's a "quality product", by all means knock yourself out.
They may have the same ingredients,BUT,they are of much better quality. McDonalds hamburgers and ground sirloin burgers that you can make at home both have the exact same ingredient, beef, but the home prepared burger is leaps and bounds over the McDonalds burger in the quality of said ingredient.
