A Streamlight Protac 1AA will probably be brighter than your Maglight, and it will fit in your mouth if you need both hands for something.

I checked Consumer Reports (this is a test they actually could do) and unfortunately they only did AA batteries currently.

For AA only recommended Duracall in four varieties, Kirkland Signature, and Panasonic Evolta, Rayovac Advanced High Energy, and Enigizer Ulimate.
