"I hear rain x sucks"

I can confirm that big time. Tried many times, treated the right side of the car from inside in summer. Got fog an all windows regardless. Tried the other side in fall, the same thing.

Very hard to get the hase off after application, even on very clean glass.

I wonder what this kind of product is supposed to do to the glass when the temperature gets below the dewpoint? What mechanism is supposed to be behind anti-fog products?

I do understand how to use outside/recycle air modes and I know when my A/C kicks in to defog...

Yuri, when I first got my car the windows fogged up really bad...but Ive noticed that after using Stoners Liquid Glass it doesnt happen as often or as easily. Thats about all I can offer this topic.

Well I dont get fog, I just get crap haze buildup on the inside of my windshield that is super hard to get clean! I do get it clean but its problematic.

I would never apply RainX or anything else to the interior. I don't use it outside either, but if I was to use a product like it, exterior only. Dominic, how do you get haze when you shouldn't have anything on the inside of the windshield to begin with?

rain-x antifog is terrible. after about aweek it actually makes teh fogging worse. clean glass is the only thing I have found that works. each time the window fogs wipe it with a clean cloth. find some sprayway glass cleaner, it will cut the haze. they carry it at ace hardwware.

Get a microfiber towel. I got one, and it cleans windows better with just water than glass cleaner ever did. You can also use it to wipe the windshield down when its fogged up, and it will make the windshield cleaner! Just make sure to get a quality towel.

rain-x has worked great for me. 2 months now and no fogging. i dont know what to say in response to those who say it does not work. clean your window real good before you apply it, and then liberally put it on. what you guys could be seeing is haze from applying too much, like it says on the bottle.

The best defogger that I've found is a smaller squeege. Turning the air on usually works, these days it seems to turn on automatically when you switch to warm air for the windshield. Cracking a front and rear window to let fresh air in helps a lot.

i've been horribly unimpressed with the rain-ex anti-fog wipes. good for cleaning my motorcycle face plate, but no real anti-fog ability.

go to a place that sells snow mobiles and find some fog city or that green artic cat anti-fog spray. i've had good luck with both of these.

i figure if it works on the inside of my helmet, it should do ok in a car.

in my car i just use stoner's invisible glass and get minimal fogging; normally only with the introduction of high humidity in the car. it goes away very quickly with the defroster on (i'm referring to the side windows here - front and back are no problem).
