Best brand type Disc rotors Opinions please.......

I don't turn rotors. If they are bad enough to need machining, I just replace them. This is likely to be a once in the life of the car event.
I've used Brembos on my Hondas. While they weren't the cheapest, they didn't break the bank, either. They have been perfectly satisfactory in my experience. This is not to say that some dirt cheap Chinese copies might not be as good. Rather, given that you'll probably only need to do this once, why experiment?

I picked up some Chinese cheapos at Advance Auto a few months back for my Expedition,I was really surprised at the machining it was comparable to top shelf products,both rotors were identical with the digital caliper.So far they are performing excellent.

I put the same Wearever Chinese rotors on my wife's 2003 Taurus wagon 10K miles ago. I was also impressed with the machining and overall finish. And so far no issues and the car sees alot of stop and go driving.

I'm reviving this thread for update.

Well, nice fit and finish not withstanding with one year and 15K miles these Chinese rotors have warped. So much for that!

And yes, the wheels are properly torqued. So I guess it's back to looking for alternatives.

The Carquest premium ones are made in Canada...and supposedly of excellent quality

I'm partial to Brembo OEM replacement....generally cheapest at tirerack....but i just put on a set of duralast with duralst gold pads on the civic...only time will tell.

I went with the Duralast rotors and Duralast ceramic with rebuilt calipers. I will see how it goes.
