Engine makes 450 crank HP & 500 #-ft. of torque.
Want to do an Auto rx flush, add new ATF, pan filter, & Magnifine filter. Any suggestions for the ATF?
Thanks in advance.

Is this a stock 4L60E? If so, it can't take that much juice. It is only a matter of time before you shred it. A beefed up 4l60, or a 4l65e, or a 4l80e will be necessary. I would probably try SF atf, for something at a good price. RL, RP, amsoil, etc, are probably all good as well.

Thanks for the post. Yes, it's stock & unfortuneately is undersized. Would like a 4L80E & will likely buy one after this one is gone. Would swap, but, haven't the funds right now. What is SF? I know RP, RL AMSoil, but, can't fiqure out SF. Thanks.

Your trans life is mostly related to how much of the power you can put to the ground. (In my youth they had 427 Vettes with Powerglides, but only with 7.50x15 tires......

Sticky wide tires, locking diff, and ballast will make it worse.
My advice is use low cost petro based Dex III and change OFTEN. Syn fluid may help your clutch packs but won't do a thing for the rest of the stuff that may break.

Valvebody mods/shifts kits are cheap enough. I'd invest in one immediately.

And, if you don't have an aftermarket ATF cooler, then definitely use a synth ATF. Mobil1/Torco/Royalpurple are some non-multivehicle DexronIII's that will work well.
With a large ATF cooler, any of the store brand DexronIIIh's are good and economical for the maintenance that you should perform pushing that much HP through a stock transmission.

What engine? year make model vehicle? mods???

it really doesn't matter what fluid you're running when the sun shell shatters under the engine's 500ft-lbs. seriously that's way more motor than the 4l60E was designed for.

Run M1 ATF for the high heat your trans will endure. Or just change dino DexIII every 10k miles.

Is this a new trans?

You need a TH-400 real bad.

Thanks all for the comments. The engine is a 99 LS1 w/ Weiand intake, AFR 205 heads, 1-3/4" headers, high flow cats, 30# injectors, tuned to 12.7:1 A/F @ WOT. 382HP @ the wheels (approx. 450 @ crank), 3.55 rear end, oil & transmission cooler. Trans has 5,000 miles on it w/ this HP & torque. However, it's not beaten on often.
