Best app for tracking DIY maintenance?

…including the flexibility to add brand of oil, etc.
I use google sheets (excel sheets) and I have a sample maintenance/repair log that I apply to each vehicle and add and remove things as necessary.

I have access to the google sheets app on my phone and i can view, make changes as necessary on my phone.

I don't prefer apps to have my information if not necessary.

If you have a lot of equipment to maintain/want the ability to sort and filter later on, then excel or sheets, as has been mentioned.

I only have 3 vehicles, 2 generators, and a mower that I keep maintenance logs for. So, I just use the iPhone notes app, and have a note dedicated to each piece of equipment.

I enter date of service, mileage/hours, service(s) performed, and anything else I think is necessary to document at that time. I have screenshots of maintenance intervals from my owner’s manual in each note as well.

Keep the services performed in reverse chronological order, so you just open up the app, create a new bullet at the top, and start typing.

Gray or purple sharpie on the hood or radiator support, worked for many many years now and never gets lost. Not enough time in the day to try or need for more technology.

I really like Road Trip. Have used it for years.

Yup sometime the KISS method is the best....Keep It Simple Stupid..... :)
It's just more convenient for me. I can write down everything right at the vehicle after the repair/maintenance because I have the mileage and the part numbers of the parts right there. I also keep a pen in the glove box.

I write down where I buy the parts, brand of the parts, part numbers, if it has a lifetime warranty or not, date and mileage of the work, and any other pertinent information. Works for me.

I just use those 3x5 small notebooks to log all repairs and maintenance in and keep them in the glove box of the vehicles.
I use a single piece of paper, with a table drawn on it.

Date. Miles. Description. That’s all I need.

I find an App more trouble than it’s worth. Upgrading to a new phone, app support, app stability, keeping oil off of phone etc.
