What vehicle type, year, etc?

If the spec is a WS then either Redline D6, or Amsoil ATL, or Valvoline MaxLife.

For cost, availability and compatibility, Maxlife.

There are other options (as MolaKule points out), but being able to go to any parts store or Wal-Mart to get the fluid for a decent price (Walmart has it for ~$18/gallon) and working just fine with WS transmissions makes it a winner for most.

Best? I have yet to see a meaningful and/or accurate comparison of the WS options on the market. However, it is important to know that there is only 1 approved WS fluid, and that is the one from Toyota.

My recommendation would be to use the Toyota ATF-WS. I pay about $8.00/quart from the dealer. Toyota considers it a lifetime fluid. As much as I disagree with the idea, I see many, many Toyota transmissions with high mileage (over 150k) on the original fluid without issues.

Thx guys... as always.
This is not for a Toyota ... so I'm a little concerned about running Toyota branded WS. And I might stick with Aisin WS branded fluid, I guess after all they build transmission so they know right fluid ?

It's very likely to be the same product. Aisin and Toyota developed the WS specification together.
