Hey Guys,

Wanted your opinion as to the best air filter for a 2003 Corolla. I Currently have a Wix in now but after reading one of Bill in Utahs previous posts about that particular filters possible lack of good seal in the airbox on this make and model I am thinking of replacing the thing after only 1000 or so miles. OEM? Puralator? Fram?

Wix air filter is a hit and miss, just check your current Wix air filter regularly, once a month or so, if the seal is good you don't need to change. If you want to change out the current Wix air filter, either Fram or OEM Toyota are good.

This is very true, OEM's are guaranteed to be the right fit. I also agree with the variance of Wix air filters. Fram ToughGuard are good sturdy well made filters.

first check the one you have in there currently.
take your old filter into a parts store and do a side by side comparison with a Fram air filter for your application.

Check around and I think you'll find the OE Denso about the same price as most, and there are no doubts if it is the right thing.

Fram or the Denso OEM, last time I bought a OEM for my corolla it was US made, a big plus vs the chinese fram.
