aif it's not made in the usa I will quit buying their products and look for US or Canada made alternatives. It's getting harder to find American made auto parts anyways, so may not have a choice.

Bendix hasn't been made in the USA for a couple of years now. You can still find USA pads and rotors on ebay for cheap. The Chinese ones don't come close in quality or performance.
Another good name gone down the tubes.

MAT Holdings has Gabriel too.Didnt know that.Sister company Maremont is gone too survived by AP exhaust.

That's a clueless comment. The original CT-3 was one of the best pads on the market, most were GG rated low dust ceramics with good stopping power.
The slotted Bendix rotors were great, they were properly ground, offered good corrosion resistance, lasted a long time and stayed true.
Far from average quality.

No wonder I got the response I did from Bendix 2 weeks ago.

I emailed them a few CT-3 part numbers and inquired the coefficient of friction code on them to make sure they would be GG. The person replied with mat holding email address. She said they don't have that info and if I can get the parts on hand and take pictures for them then they can let me know.

Kind of defeat the purpose of knowing before buying?
I can read the code myself if it's in my hand.

The new pads are Bendix in name only, they come from some place in China or India that makes them look the same at the cheapest price.
Look on ebay for USA made leftovers, if you find them scoop up as many as you can for the stuff you own. They are usually $15-20 a set.

GG pads are rare in brick and mortar stores. Bendix was one of the few companies that made them for most cars and light trucks.
EBC Ultimax2 are GG rated, Euro manufactured and are available for many cars in the USA.

If memory serves me right the Black Stuff (Ultimax) has a friction coefficient of 0.45 and the Green Stuff 0.55; Does that makes the Green Stuff HH rated?

I wold love for EBC to come up with sintered copper pads like the ones they offer for bikes.

I just found out that the Z23/Z26 Power Stop pads are GG rated.
Although a name that I'm not too familiar with.

The bendix pads I got 2 months ago for our suv came in with FF front and GG rear.

I especially got them, paying shipping/custom fee for the GG rating, kind of bummed out there. Their reply to my inquiry about the ratings afterwards just put me off and now I know why since it's no longer Honeywell/Bendix.

That sucks. When my stash of original stuff is gone i wont be buying any more. Give the EBC a shot.

Sigh.

A lot of the newer Wagner Thermoquiet pads are GG rated, but I'm not sure if they're still noisy. Akebono street performance and Bosch pads have sometimes been GG rated as well.

Most part catalogs will have a picture of the actual pad, and you can usually see the friction rating that is printed onto the pad.

Personally I don't pay much attention unless they are lower than the original pads.
